From Left To Right: Drew Sidora (T-Boz), Lil' Mama (Left Eye) and Keke Palmer (Chilli)
Today Vh1 released a video teaser of the Vh1 Original move, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. I am not going to lie when I say I was freaking out when I saw the video! It looks like they did an amazing job casting the girls as Drew Sidora, Lil Mama and Keke Palmer look just like the power girl group did when they first started out (well fake Chilli in the close ups does not look like her as much... but oh well).
The movie, which will debut this October, is executive produced by surviving members Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and showcase the groups rise to fame, their struggles and the iconic music and music videos.
Take a look:
I cannot wait to watch this movie and I am thrilled to know that Chilli and T-Boz are executive producers on the project. TLC was my FAVE group in the early 90's. I lived for them and CrazySexyCool was my fave cassette (yes I said cassette) that I had! 'Red Light Special' was my jam and I am pretty sure that at that age I should not have been walking around my house singing it but that never stopped me from singing about being "all yours" and giving someone a "red light special all through the night." OOPS slash SORRY NOT SORRY!
Let's be honest, we all chased waterfalls, creeped and chilled with our kool-aid until Miss Chilli came to relay that someone had a thang for us in the 90's.
Here's to hoping that this movie is All That! (remember when they sang the All That theme song... yikes, a Bynes connection)!
