Does Lady Gaga's New Music Video Get Your 'Applause?'

Lady Gaga hit up Good Morning America in NYC's Times Square to unveil her latest video for her song 'Applause' from her upcoming album 'ArtPop.'  The eccentric singer told GMA that she really missed her fans and could not stop thinking about them during her down time from her hip injury that she got while on her "Born This Way" tour.  Though she was devastated about having to sit out the rest of the tour, Gaga said that the forced rest time made her focus hard on the creativity of the new album. 

Gaga also let her Little Monsters know the meaning behind her now famous clown make up.  She says that it is suppose to represent a court jester who lives for the applause but since the first day that I saw the photo, all I could think of is the time Anna Nicole was super "out of it" and was walking around her house in clown make up.

Like any good fan of pop music, I checked out the 'Applause' video as soon as I woke up and I have to say that I thought it was O.K..  I was really hoping and wanting an epic Gaga video like the one for 'Marry the Night' or my fave, 'Telephone.'  I guess I have to remember that she did have hip surgery recently.  The video was visually cool and I am LIVING for her outfit that features a bra that looks like a pair of gloved hands are cupping her breasts.  It is everything!

This weekend I did go out dancing and I am not going to lie, 'Applause' is fun to dance to but at home and on the radio it just sounds like the theme to some modeling slash acting competition on the CW.

Now that Gaga's video is out, Katy Perry's camp can work on trying to out do it.  To be honest, I am way more into 'Roar' right now than 'Applause' and I am a way bigger Gaga fan!

For old times sake I will give Gaga's video applause, but she better STEP UP HER GAME!
