Cookie Lyon Inspired Fashion is headed to Saks Fifth Avenue via Collaboration

Saks Fifth Avenue is about to get some sass and swagger because the storied department store is teaming up with the hit Fox television drama Empire to bring the show's outfits to life via curated collections inspired by the show's characters including Lucious Lyon, Hakeem, Jamal, Andre and most importantly, COOKIE!

The roster of brands and designers slated to participate in the collaboration are Cushin et Ochs (Women's ready-to-wear), Jimmy Choo (men's and women's footwear of course), Alexis Bittar (fine jewelry) and MCM (handbags and accessories).  I can already tell that there are going to be some pieces that I am going to need slash want right away!!

"The influence Empire has had on so many aspects of popular culture proves it has the ingredients to become a stand-alone fashion brand" said Jeffrey Godsick, president of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, in a statement.  OJ&B could not agree more!

Also included in the partnership will be Empire-themed windows at the New York and Beverly Hills flagship stores from September 10th to October 7th which conveniently coincide with Empire's season two premiere on September 23rd.  There will also be a contest called "How to Build an Empire" where the grand prize winner receives a behind-the-scenes tour of the show (can you imagine a selfie with Taraji?!)

All I want out of this collaboration is a Cookie inspired full length fur to strut around and sass people in.  Then the streets can truly be my runway!!  Let me know if you feel the same way in the comments below.  Just remember...
