Lady Gaga at the 91st Annual Academy Awards
The 91st Annual Academy Awards took place on Sunday, February 25th at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California bringing out the biggest and brightest stars in Hollywood.
As you may know the Oscars are the Super Bowl of pop culture and fashion and the celebs did not disappoint this year when it came to their red carpet fashion moments.
Some huge trends of the night were pink dresses, the color red, statement necklaces and wearing more ruffles than a bag of chips.
This year I decided to focus only on the stars that majority slayed and worked their looks on the biggest red carpet of the year.
Check out the 15 celebrities that made OJ&B's best dressed list and make sure to give your opinions in the comment sections below!

Regina King in Oscar de la Renta
My best dressed for the 2019 Oscars has to be Regina King in Oscar de la Renta. I remember watching the red carpet coverage of her walking to the red carpet and gasping. I immediately tweeted that she walked onto the red carpet not only looking like a freaking movie star, but like a WINNER (and win she did)! This was a perfect case of the perfect dress in the perfect color for the perfect person.

Jennifer Lopez in Tom Ford
My immediate reaction to J.Lo's Tom Ford dress at the Oscars was "Ugh! J.Lo is looking like a sexy Latina disco ball." Jenny from the block rarely misses when it comes to fashion!

Lady Gaga in Alexander McQueen and Tiffany & Co. jewels
Lady Gaga (now forever known as Academy Award Winner Lady Gaga) has had a fashion journey this award season that could make even her biggest haters gasp. On Oscar night Ms. Germanotta went with a chic and elegant black Alexander McQueen ballgown that had just enough umph at the waist to make it truly Gaga with black opera cloves and a chic undo. She no doubt wanted to be understated so that people spoke about her talent and not her ensemble though she did pair the look with a giant 128 carat yellow diamond necklace from Tiffany.

Angela Bassett in Reem Acra
The talented and stunning Angela Bassett was on trend in a pink dress that made me think of Marilyn Monroe's iconic dress in 'Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend." She came to stun and she certainly did with this gorgeous look!

Glenn Close in Carolina Herrera and Cartier jewels
The incomparable Glenn Close came to the Oscars red carpet looking like the Hollywood royal that she is in a gold dress and amazingly dramatic cape by Carolina Herrera. Close paired the dress with jewelry by Cartier. Glenn is showing us that you show up looking like a winner no matter what!

Billy Porter in Christian Siriano
Gaga wasn't the only one making us say "oh la lala" this awards season. Broadway legend and screen actor Billy Porter has been slaying the children all season long and put the cherry on top of the fashion sundae with this perfectly dramatic tuxedo slash ball gown by Christian Siriano. The legendary ballroom house, House of Xtravaganza, noted on their Instagram account that the look was inspired by the legendary and late Hector Xxtravaganza. This look and moment gets TENS across the board.

Shangela in Diego Montoya
Iconic RuPaul's Drag Race alum and bonafide actress Shangela shook things up and slayed the Oscar red carpet in Diego Montoya. Everything about this look was right for me from head to toe. I love that a drag queen walked the Oscars red carpet and I also love that designers like Diego Montoya who are well known in the drag world and LGBTQ+ community are being put on an international stage. So many design and trend ideas come from the drag world so it is fabulous to see an actual drag queen brining lewks to a red carpet like the Oscars.

Kiandra "Kiki" Layne in Versace
More pink power but this time in a softer hue from Kiandra "Kiki Layne" in Versace. I love love LOVED this look! The cut out and shape at the top that leads into the back ruffle/bow is perfection and looks beyond on Layne. Versace designer Donatella always knows how to do it right on the carpet!

Cicely Tyson
Hollywood royalty and queen of acting Cicely Tyson made my entire night by giving us fashions for days with this red carpet look. I am obsessed with Tyson in the dress and that fascinator is EVERYTHING! Ms. Tyson is 94 and she showed up a plethora of younger actresses on the carpet in this number. THIS is how you elegantly stand out on a red carpet y'all!

Linda Cardellini in Schiaparelli
Linda Cardellini rode onto the Oscars red carpet via the ruffles and pink trend. This look provided a fun and flirty moment on the carpet. Cardellini also managed to incorporate a bow which was a huge trend this award season. I told you the ladies had more ruffles than a bag of chips this year!

Jennifer Hudson in Elie Saab
As you can see, I did not lie when I said ruffles were a giant trend on the 2019 Oscar red carpet. J.Hud does the ruffle moment elegantly in this all red Elie Saab gown. I love the asymmetrical aspect of it and am seldom mad at a red dress on the red carpet. As stated at the top of the post, red on the red carpet was also a big trend this year.

Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton
I always enjoy seeing what Emma Stone will rock on the red carpet and I found this gown by Louis Vuitton to be cute and playful. The brown/copper color was unique for a red carpet and I like how she incorporated the ruffle trend via the shoulders. When I first saw her walk onto the carpet the dress reminded me a little bit of an old school ruffled apron. That being said she was still serving up fashion!

Henry Golding in custom Ralph Lauren
Henry Golding probably wore my favorite look for the men on Oscar night. This custom Ralph Lauren is so chic and dapper looking and is 100% a look that I would wear on a night like the Oscars. I have always been a huge fan of Ralph Lauren especially when he does evening wear. I tip my top hat to this look Henry!

Chris Evans in Salvatore Ferragamo
The more I see pictures of Christ Evans from Oscar night the more and more I love this Ferragamo tuxedo on him. The muted color makes it fabulous for evening and the fit is perfection on him. My first reaction when I saw Evans on the carpet was that he looks like an Oscar worthy snack!

Jason Momoa in Fendi
Last but certainly not least is Jason Momoa in a blush-pink velvet suit that was designed by Karl Lagerfeld himself for Fendi. Notice the matching blush-pink velvet scrunchie on Momoa's right arm? Apparently the suit was designed around the scrunchie! All of these things could not make me happier. I love that an action star like Jason Momoa is not afraid to wear pink and also not afraid to have a scrunchie in case he has to put his hair up in a messy Britney bun!
